Stafford Bonded is a Wexford based family business dealing in the bond storage and brokerage of wines, spirits, beers and tobaccos. We also offer a complete whiskey solution from bulk to bottle.

Only a few miles outside the port of Rosslare on the main Wexford ring road, we own and operate from a large bonded warehouse facility ideally located to serve Rosslare Europort and our customers nationwide.

Stafford Wholesale trading as Stafford Bonded has a long history in the trade of bonding and brokerage of alcohol products. We are experts in the importing, exporting, storage and national distribution of under bond alcohol and tobacco products. We are also long-standing ship chandlers to the major shipping ports of the South East, offering a highly efficient and reliable service to the major ferry companies requiring an under bond service.

Stafford Bonded Stores is equipped with the latest ICT systems and EMCS to ensure that revenue reporting, customs clearance, logistics and fulfilment, intake and processing, promotional repacks and stock controls can all be executed with efficiency and precision.

George Stafford Ltd (Founded by George Stafford Great Grandfather of Current Managing Director Michael Stafford Jnr).

Purchase of Warehouses

1906

Purchase of warehouses, bottling yard and licence premises at John St, Wexford.

Wholesale Bottling

1906

Soft drinks manufacturing (Stafford’s Brazil Orange), wholesale bottling and distribution of stout.

James Stafford Succeeds Founder George

1935

George Stafford passes away leaving the business to his only son James Stafford (James pictured with son Michael).

Alcohol and Tobacco

1940

Alcohol and Tobacco Bond opened in Anne St, Wexford.

Ship Chandler

1948

Ship Chandler Business begins with supply of Duty-Free products to British Rail vessels St. Patrick and St. David. (St. Patrick pictured).

Bottling Expansion

1950

James Stafford expands the business to include bottling of Guinness, wine imported from France, imported Jamaican Rum, and Irish Whiskey.

3rd Generation

1967

James Stafford passes away leaving the company to his three sons, George, Michael & James (Michael left, George right).

Irish Continental Group

1973

Staffords begin supply of Duty Free products to Irish Continental Group also known as Irish Ferries.

New Bonded Warehouse

1978

Construction begins on new bonded warehouses in Drinagh Wexford which is home to the business for the next 16yrs.

Sinnottstown Lane

1994

Stafford Wholesale Ltd moved to Sinnottstown Lane into bonded warehouses previously built by George Stafford Distribution Ltd as a distribution centre for Seagram’s.
